Global Settings are the starting rules for every new album. If you are unsure, leave the suggested values; you can still change individual albums later.
Global Settings overview Global Settings manage default behavior for albums, thumbnails, layout, navigation, and uploads. These values are designed to work well for most accounts, and they can be overridden later at album level when needed. Use default settings when unsure. Album Settings Default album viewer Select the default album experience, including Standard and Enhanced layouts (Pop-up, Photo, or Album view options as offered on the form). Enhanced uses wide screens to maximize thumbnail and enlarged viewing area and relocates viewer controls; see Album page & viewer → Enhanced layout vs Standard. Default slideshow delay Choose the default slideshow delay in seconds. Maximum guestbook entries Select the maximum number of guestbook entries shown per album page. Guestbook notifications Choose who receives guestbook notifications: owner, guests, owner & guests, or none. Guests must opt in when signing. Display visits and hits Enable or disable visible visit and hit counts in albums. Send Email option Enable this to allow guests to send selected images by email. Download ability Allow guests to download selected images in available sizes. Note: if right-click is disabled in an album, download may be restricted there. Copyright statement Set an account-wide copyright statement shown with images where supported. Meta tags Choose Yes/No/Disallow. Meta tags help search engines understand keywords and descriptions. Use "Disallow" to block search indexing. Photo/Thumbnail Settings Show enlarge size and dimensions Show or hide file size (KB) and image dimensions (pixels) in enlarge view. Size of medium generated images Set the default medium generated image size (e.g., 640x480 or 576x432). Show numbers under thumbnails Enable or disable thumbnail numbers for guests. Image click action Choose what happens when an enlarged image is clicked: Print @ Home, Back to Album, View Original, Next Image, or Do Nothing. Layout & Navigation Fixed vs maximum width Choose Fixed centered width or Maximum browser width for your home page and albums. Guestbook position Display guestbook/comment form above or below thumbnails. Show album/folder navigation to guests Show or hide album/folder navigation links for guests. Show sharing to guests Show or hide sharing options (invitations and sharing tools) for guests. Show slideshow buttons Choose slideshow controls: Show Both, Enlarged Only, or None. Show EXIF data Choose Show With Details, Show, or Disable EXIF camera metadata display. Uploading Options Arrange from first or last image Select whether uploads are arranged from first image or last image. Overwrite or rename image When a filename already exists, choose to overwrite or rename automatically. Compression quality of generated JPEGs Choose generated JPEG compression quality (Highest, Normal, Low, Lowest). This affects generated images only, not originals. FTP client to create album folders Enable FTP client folder creation to build upload hierarchies. Uploading is allowed to leaf folders only. |
