| 1531.Billy's SunsetI had the pleasure of meeting the moderator of the amateur weather-enthusiast group I belong to. As he lives on the north side of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and I live on the south, we met there with cameras in hand hoping for some weather action. We settled for a stunning sunset, frolicking dolphins, some great post-sunset lightning and good company.

| 1532.May 2004It's been a hot dry month here on the gulf coast. Everybody is looking forward to the "rainy season" (afternoon thunderstorms that turns the atmosphere into a steam bath); but the plants like it - and need it.
It's also been a month of great bird shots, they all seemed to pose for me.
Enjoy the pictures :) | |

| 1539.Sarasota Jungle GardensSunday was a day trip to Jungle Gardens. We arrived just in time for breakfast which in some cases the parrots had to share with the local wildlife. This is a beautiful and pristine park located 2 Blocks Off Highway 41 at 3701 Bayshore Rd. Sarasota, FL (941) 355-5305.
Conditions were not perfect for shooting with all the shadows and contrasts. Despite that, I managed to get a couple of photos I consider the best I've ever shot and had a great time!

| 1540.The Day I Fell in LoveFeeling eyes on me, I turned the path and looked around, not seeing a soul. I stopped and looked around. Looking down I saw his handsome face. Kneeling, we gazed at each other as he slowly started to make his way to me. With twists and turns to impress me, my heart melted. He finally made his way to the tip of the branch and then....
..... the batteries died in my camera.
My heart was lost forever. | |

| 1541.Railroad HikeHiked from Ellenton to Parrish, FL on an old seldom used track. We hiked approximately 3 miles under a very hot mid-day sun. Therefore, the pictures of me are less than glamorous. This hike was work but loads of fun and saw some great track-side scenes. | |

| 1542.Easter Sunday on the RoadTo break up an otherwise quiet Easter Sunday, Richard and I took off in the car for one of our famous "drive by shooting" rides. (See something good, stop, shoot it). Only we didn't see a thing. Did find a quaint little Orchid/Pottery store that was open on 41 and the owner was kind enough to let us take some pictures. Beautiful plants and pottery. | 1543.Marie Selby Botanical GardensThe greenhouse and gardens of the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in downtown Sarasota, FL is a must see for anybody who lives in the area or just visiting. The exotic (and sometimes erotic!) beauty of the plants and flora that reside there speak volumes for the love and care given to them by their caretakers.
Take a stop in, put it on slideshow, sit back and just enjoy the beauty.

 | 1544.Costa RicaAnother trip planned by Delta Kappa Gamma, my first venture into Central America. Our group of 10 women visited basically three sites: San José, the Arenal volcano, and the MonteVerde Rainforest. | |
