Nature and Landscapes

January has been a month of watching the local birds begin to blossom with their breeding plummage, admiring the "snow birds" for their tenacity for jockeying for territory and food.

It's been a lovely winter here on the Gulf Coast! A stark contrast to the winter happening elsewhere in the U.S.

1478.North Carolina Summer 2004

Bill and I loaded up the car and headed down to North Carolina for a quick trip to spend some time with his Mom. The drive there took a VERY long time... fortunately we had our history tapes to keep us company. Our trip was much too short, as it always is, but we did our best to pack a lot in. We also got to meet the newest member of the family... look for pictures of her in the animals folder.
