Bill and I loaded up the car and headed down to North Carolina for a quick trip to spend some time with his Mom. The drive there took a VERY long time... fortunately we had our history tapes to keep us company. Our trip was much too short, as it always is, but we did our best to pack a lot in. We also got to meet the newest member of the family... look for pictures of her in the animals folder.

1 A few shots here of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the road. This is Bill's work. I was driving.

12 We went back to Chimney Rock. We had been there in the winter, but wanted to see it green. (Pictures of winter trip is also in this folder).

20 Bill and I did one of the shorter hiking trails to see the waterfall. We took a few pictures of the path along the way. I like paths.

46 As we were leavign the park, Bill noticed this bird in a tree. Quite pretty. Not sure what it is though.
47 Bill tried for the entire visit, and then towards the end finally got a shot of a hummingbird at his Mom's feeder. Not the best quality because it's through the window of course.
