During our annual desert visit in the Coachella Valley, California, home to the resort cities of Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Cathedral City & Indio, I tried to capture some of the flavor of the resort atmosphere and the natural beauty and rugged features of the surrounding areas.
Images are available in three sizes so the best fit for the viewer's screen may be selected. Click on individual thumbnail for an enlargement, or click on slide show to see enlargements of the entire album.

 | 1468.Halloween MoonI ran outside last night to take a few pictures of the Moon as it entered a total eclipse. Because of the atmosphere of Earth, the moon turned a nice Halloween shde of orange :-) The next total eclipse won't be until March 2007, so enjoy these picture for now. If I had the Leica Televid 62 or 77, I'd be able to get awesome shots of the moon (complete with craters), thats next on my wish list ;-) | |

| 1470.Venice RookeryWhat can I say about this shoot but *wow*! Without a doubt I got perhaps the finest bird photographs of my life at this small pond in downtown Venice, FL. This tiny rookery is a happening place now that it is nesting season. I witnessed plenty of true love, tenderness and good old sex. Now, so will you.
This is definitely an album you want to click out to larger sizes to see all the detail of these glorious birds in their finest feathery splendor and their adorable off-spring.
Enjoy :) | |
