APRIL | April was born in Oct 2018. She is a black tan and white well put together little girl. She is a hairy hairless which does show up in this breed from time to time so I am not going to be ashamed to put it out there for people to see. April is PLL, PRA-PRCD, vWD, IVDD, Patella and Cardiac clear/normal by parentage. She has always been a happy puppy who just loves to be with her humans but she can also entertain herself and you as well. She is kennel trained and is working on house breaking skills. She is not much for going outside in the cold and wet weather but we try anyway. April is current on all age appropriate vaccines and will be micro-chipped by us before heading to a new home. She is being placed as a pet only on a Spay contract. AKC papers are available once we have verifiable proof of Spay. If you would like more info on the hairy hairless before you make a decision to get or not to get April, please contact us, we'll be glad to talk to you. |

Mounts Lincoln, Democrat, and Bross Hike (August 11, 2015)On Thursday, 30 July, 2015, my buddy Ray and I set off to hike the triple 14er, Mounts Democrat (14,154’), Lincoln (14,295’), and Bross (14,177’). It is interesting to note the there is a forth 14er above the basin, Mount Cameron, but it is too close to Mount Lincoln and its higher elevation to officially count as a 14er.
The day was spectacular with crystal clear blue skies, little or no wind, and temperatures in the 50’s and 60’s at peak elevations. The route spanned a total of 7.25 miles with a total elevation gain of 3700’. This relatively low total gain is due to the parking area sitting at an already altitudinous 12,000’, which Ray delivered us safely to in his black, 4 wheel drive Toyota Tacoma pickup. The hike overall was moderately challenging on the way up, with the final decent from Mount Bross being the most difficult due to large amounts of sand and loose gravel on the trail.
The pictures appear in chronological order and follow the hike route highlighted in yellow on the map shown at the beginning of the album. I hope you enjoy the album, and would love to hear your feedback, as I believe it captures some of the magnificence that IS The Colorado Rocky Mountains. |
