 | 812.AlaskaThis was a land tour with Gate 1. We flew into Anchorage and then took the Alaska Railroad to Denali National Park. On the Wilderness
Tundra Tour we saw moose, grizzlies, black bears, Dall sheep, and eagles. On the bus ride to Fairbanks we saw the Alaska pipeline and fantastic autumn scenery, including a perfectly clear view of Mt. McKinley (Denali Mountain). On a sternwheeler ride on the Chena river we visited an Athabascan Indian village. A one day cruise on Prince William Sound at Valdez afforded views of whales, seals, and sea lions, plus icebergs and glaciers. The trip ended in Anchorage. | |

 | 815.Waterspout?Waterspout formation over Peconic and Noyac Bays, Long Island, New York. Meteorologists from the National Weather Service determined that the winds that hit the Springs on July 22, 2010, were straight line winds, but this is what I saw just before that occurrence. | |

Our weekend trip out on the boat with Mom and Pops out to Sucia Island. John and I camped in a tent and had an incredible view from our tent door. The sunsets were outrageous!
