| 1504.September 2004Needless to say, September was a tumultuous month for Florida. Although Manatee County did not catch the level of damage many other counties did, we saw our share of damage, much of it environmental. Since I spend so much time in the woods, I've seen first hand how these storms has displaced wildlife (almost all of my spiders are gone!) The terrain has changed in more ways then just downed trees. Let's hope and pray we've seen the end of the storms for 2004. | |

| 1505.Hurricane JeanneThe Headline of my morning paper says it all and says it for the entire state of Florida.
You can compare some of these photos with that in the Hurricane Frances album to see the "wham" difference. As I type, I am one of the very few blocks in my town with power.
Florida really has had enough. We're a "forecast fatigued" state.
All pictures taken within my immediate neighborhood. I might have taken a ride out in the middle of it. I'll never admit to that, however. :)

| 1508.Bean PointOn the northern tip of Anna Maria Island here in Manatee County is one of the most picturesque beaches on the west coast of Florida.
Come take a walk on the beach on a perfect Florida day.

| 1509.Hurricane FrancesOr as I prefer to call her, "The Wicked Witch of the East". Hurricane Frances pounded Florida this weekend and took her time leaving. Some of these shots were taken yesterday, some during a walk this morning inbetween rain bands. All are just of my immediate neighborhood.

| 1510.August 2004From Hurricane Charley to stunning sunsets, August was NOT boring for photo ops. As Charley did not hit Tampabay as originally expected, I chose to not drive 40 miles south or east to photograph the disaster that storm left in its wake.
I did however get my share of interesting shots for the month. As always, please click on the thumbnails to see the detail and beauty intended.

| 1514.From Photograph to PaintingWhile browsing my albums, an artist by the name of Cindy Crawford, ran across "Raymond" and emailed me to ask for permission to paint him. I was thrilled and flattered! Here is the absolutely beautiful result of that endeavor.
