 | 1937.SEMPER FI 1Semper Fi 1 is a team of volunteers who provide Military Honors to veterans of all services at the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA.
On 12 April I had the great priviledge of visiting SF 1 where I photographed their activities of the morning. First, the Marines & Sailors (Navy Corpsmen who served with Marines) gather before the first service of the day. Next, the team meets for rehearsal at their CP (Command Post), including proper folding of the flag, rendering the 21 gun salute and all the details involved in the ceremony.
The first service of the day begins with arrival of the team, movement into assigned places, arrival of relatives and guests, rendering of honors, Taps, 21 Gun Salute, folding and presentation of the Colors, and finally the withdrawal of the Honors Detail.
Members of SF 1 routinely perform for 4 to 5 veteran services daily, sometimes as many as 12. Their service is purely voluntary with each member bearing the expenses of uniforms, travel, etc. SF 1 is not funded by the government and welcomes the support of the public. The builder-grade jack and jill bath, that had a tub, toilet and double vanity, is being converted into two smaller full baths, each with 30x60 shower, toilet and vanity. Swinging doors from bedrooms are being replaced with pocket doors. | |

SHEVAUN NOW LIVES WITH AND LOVES MY DEAR FRIEND DR. DEB THE VET. SHE LIVES WITH ONE OF OUR CHLOE/CRUZ DAUGHTERS AND WITH HER OWN DAUGHTER PROMISE ON 17 ACRES AND GOES ON CALLS WITH HER MAMA. WE ARE SO FORTUNATE TO HAVE HER IN DEB'S HOME AND THERE WILL STILL BE SHEVAUNIE PUPS IN THE FUTURE. LOVE YA DEB!
**HEALTH TESTING**
On February 23, 2007 we took Shevaun to our veterinarian and had a hip x-ray as well as patellas and heart screen done. Shevaun's hips are well seated and will pass OFA certification. Her patellas were rock solid, even under sedation and her heart is sound.
Shevaun is a tad over 14" and weights 18lbs.

| 1944.SHEVAUN AND HAWK KIDS
I wanted to create an album just specifically for Shevaun and Hawk pups since our past puppy album is getting so full of beautiful dogs. We have only produced 9 litters in our "career" so we are not seasoned breeders, but we are blessed to have seen our dogs greatly improve structurally in 5 years. This will always be our goal, dedication to quality.

We're so excited to introduce our third generation pup from our Big Sky Montana litter. Please meet Cruzin's Beside Still Waters aka/Brook!!
Brook is a beautiful bitch with stunning class...she is a rock solid girl both structurally and mentally. This highly intelligent girl is a breeze to train. She also possesses awesome prey drive. I just can't express how incredible it is to enjoy having Cruz, (her Great Grandsire), Ruger, (her sire), and Brook living with us. What a joy to embark on a journey and to see what you had dreamed of come to fruition. The quality of dogs we are now seeing in our program is a rich blessing. The Lord has been there to guide every step and I owe him all the credit for that. His wisdom is far above mine. And I am so thankful he gave me the passion for my breed, study, and the fine dogs from dear friends that have made my program possible.
The one word that I would use to describe Brook would be SOLID. This girl has beautiful structural integrity, deep color pigmentation, beautiful movement and a solid/balanced temperament. We look very forward to watching Brook grow up and follow in the footsteps of her stunning sire and lovely dam.
