 | 1636.Stan Hywet 2012Pictures from my visit to Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron, Ohio on July 13, 2012 to see the exhibit "Finer Things", and my jewelry that was on display. What a magnificent museum and venue. A million thanks to my friend, guest-curator Elyse Zorn Karlin, and Stan Hywet curator Jennifer Ferone, for doing such a beautiful exhibit, and their kindness and generosity for including my jewelry. (And for my wonderful sister who took the trip with me...we had such a blast). Also, thank you to Leslie, our incredible docent, who took us on a fabulous private tour of the house, and into the personal lives of Frank & Gertrude Seiberling and their family. (And an extra wave to Jim and all of the other fantastic people that work at this incredible museum). Although the family could not afford the upkeep after F.A. Seiberling died, their dilemma was solved by donating this magnificent home and exquisite gardens in 1957 for the rest of us to enjoy as a beautiful museum...where it looks like time has stood still awaiting us to enjoy the hospitality of this amazing family.
The exhibit was broken down by different periods and styles. Victorian-Edwardian-Art Nouveau-Arts & Crafts-Art Deco-Watches-Lorgnettes-Mens Jewelry-and F.A. Seiberling's Presentation Watch. This exhibit is a showcase of the jewelry Mr. and Mrs. Seiberling (F.A. Seiberling was the found of Goodyear Tire & Rubber and Stan Hywet their home)WOULD have worn during their time living there. Only the presentation watch (not shown here) is from the family...the rest from other collectors or dealers. I was but one of many lenders who sent their jewelry for the display. Everything in the exhibit is real except for my jewelry that is costume (and a pair of my 14K men's cufflinks in their original box)and i was proud to have examples in most of the cases except for Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, and a case of exquisite REAL Art Deco jewelry.

casino here in California. The staff were
rude and couldn't care less about their
customers. Cameras were not allowed, but I
managed to snap a few. Due to distance and

 | 1648.Olivia Newton-John concert in SF.....Olivia ROCKED San Francisco Thursday night!! She and her band put on an amazing show with songs from long ago and some of her current hits. She encouraged us to stand up and sing along to a few of her Grease songs, such fun! She also sang sevral songs from her Totaly Hot album, I had never heard her sing them live before. This was my 14th concert since 2004 and I'm already itching to go to my 15th :-) | |

| 1649.Pumpkin for dogsIt has long been known that pumpkin is very healthy for our dogs. It is wonderful to give to them if they have a tummy upset or can be fed periodically as an added goodness to their diets.
In this album I show you how I puree pumpkin for my Chihuahua rather than use canned pumpkin which was made who knows when and contains who knows what.
