DIRLETON CASTLE (North Berwick, near Edinburgh)
This was a GREAT castle with the BEST GARDEN OF THEM ALL! This is worth a stop. It is easy to get to from Edinburgh.... train to North Berwick (30 minutes) then bus (10 minutes) from right there to "front door" of the castle. |

GOING TO IONA ABBEY (our ferry rides)Below are photos of our ferry rides over to the Isle of Mull from Oban and to the Isle of Iona from the Isle of Mull. You can see by the photos how blue the water was.
Also, the water seemed quite clam as compared to the day before.
We were told it was rainning off and on the day before.
