Learning in Retirement, University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, obtained special permission for this trip from the U.S. Treasury Department. We flew direct from Miami to Havana for one glorious week in Cuba.
This castle is completely in ruins. There is not a lot to see of it. However, it has a WONDERFUL visitor center. It is located right on the shore of Loch Ness so the beauty of the surroundings is breathtaking. It is also a very famous castle.... Legend has it that "Nessie" the Loch Ness monster can sometimes be seen from the castle.
