1ST BN, 4TH MARINES - CHANGE OF COMMAND (February 8, 2004)A Change of Command ceremony for 1/4 (1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division) took place at Camp Horno, located within the Camp Pendleton Marine Base, on 8 February 2008.
Lt. Colonel Jason Bohm, USMC, relinquished command to Lt. Colonel Chris Hastings, USMC.
The images presented here follow the Sequence of Events appearing in the first image. Before the ceremony began, the photographs show guests visiting informally as they arrive, then the band from the 1st Marine Division marched on to play for guests before the start. All the while, Marines of the Battalion can be seen waiting in formation to hear the command, "Sound Attention," and "Adjutant's Call."
The photographs follow the program beginning with image No. 20, appearing after the image of the Band's bus.
After the ceremony is concluded, there are several images taken at the reception which followed.

We live in the last time before our Lord Jesus comes, and God gives us the ability to do more to spread His kingdom. |

Cartagena (December 26 - 30, 2007)| I went to Cartagena to attend the wedding of our son Jim and Rosario Toscano. During the days preceeding the ceremony we enjoyed visiting the Old Town, one of the first cities founded by the Spanish in South America. |

SERGEANT MAJOR BRAD KASAL, USMC (13Nov04 / 1May06)This album documents a remarkable 18 months in the life and career of one Marine, promoted on 1 May 2006 to Sergeant Major of Marines, and awarded the Nation's second highest award for acts of combat heroism, the Navy Cross.
The Commanding General of the 1st Marine Division, Major General Richard Natonski, summed up his remarkable story with this comment, "He set an example for future generations of combat leaders to emulate."
