HAIL & FAREWELL, 1/1 - 2008
Shortly after returning to the USA from their most recent deployment, Officers of 1/1 (1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division) held their Hail & Farewell party to welcome aboard new arrivals to the battalion, and to say farewell to those leaving for other assignments, retiring, or returning to civilian life.
The Commanding Officer is also leaving the battalion for a new assignment, and will hand over the battalion's colors to his successor at a Change of Command ceremony on April 4, 2008.
