SERGEANT MAJOR BRAD KASAL, USMC (13Nov04 / 1May06)This album documents a remarkable 18 months in the life and career of one Marine, promoted on 1 May 2006 to Sergeant Major of Marines, and awarded the Nation's second highest award for acts of combat heroism, the Navy Cross.
The Commanding General of the 1st Marine Division, Major General Richard Natonski, summed up his remarkable story with this comment, "He set an example for future generations of combat leaders to emulate."

SERGEANT MAJOR RELIEF & APPOINTMENT (December 13, 2006)
After the ceremony, Sergeant Major Grizzle addresses Marines and guests, and here introduces his family and friends who attended the Relief and Appointment Ceremony.
Sergeant Major Greg Grizzle was relieved from his post of Sergeant Major of the famed 1st Marines (1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division) to assume a new assignment in Washington, D.C., and Sergeant Major Don Gallagher is appointed Sergeant Major of the 1st Marines.
These photos begin with the 1st Marine Division Band playing for guests prior to the ceremony, the formation arriving on the parade deck, then follows the ceremony in the order of the Sequence of Events which is shown here in image No. 1.
After the final event of the ceremony, Pass In Review, there are several shots of greetings and congratulations, and finally some of the guests at the reception and last, a photo of Sergeant Major and Mrs. Grizzle.
