MELROSE ABBEY Melrose abbey has deteriorated greatly over the years. However, the most interesting
aspect of this abbey is the fact that Robert the Bruce's heart is buried here.
The spot where his heart is buried was marked well. We were able to find out more
about Bruce's heart by reading the detailed information that was on display near the heart.
We also visited a small museum that was located on the abbey grounds.

A walk on the John Muir Trail (2015)Made the opportunity to walk the John Muir Trail. It leads from Yosemite Valley to Mt Whitney in the Sierra Nevada, crossing the most stunning scenery between 8- to 13,000'.
Many pictures included here are for the benefit of those I met on the trail who didn't have the luxury of toting a heavy camera, and their contribution to an exceptional experience! |
