Melrose abbey has deteriorated greatly over the years. However, the most interesting aspect of this abbey is the fact that Robert the Bruce's heart is buried here. The spot where his heart is buried was marked well. We were able to find out more about Bruce's heart by reading the detailed information that was on display near the heart.
