1961-1964 Kahn's Weiners FB card sets | This gallery contains scans of my Kahn's Weiners Football sets. I obtained the 1961-1964 sets from Larry Fritsch in 1980 for $400-500 per set. Larry had put together uncirculated sets with cards that were not pulled from the Kahn's meat packaging (and, therefore, did not have the stains and creases found on many vintage Kahn's issues). As the company was based in the mid-west, the Browns, Steelers and Lions are heavily represented- particularly in the earlier sets. Though I do not have the first two sets that Kahn's issued in 1959 and 1960, I was able to find the Jim Brown from 1959 and Willie Davis from 1960 to serve as "type" cards for each. |
