Canon EOS 5D (November 2, 2005)Eos 5D billeder. Skudt med EF 100-400mm/f4.5-5.6L IS USM og EF 50/1,8. Alle dyrebillederne er håndholdt med 100-400mm ved lukkertider jeg normalt ikke ville forsøge med så lang en brændvidde, så man må sige at billedstabilisatoren er særdeles effektiv. Det er svært at finde noget negativt at sige om dette dejlige kamera, bortset fra at spejl/lukkermekanismen er relativt støjende, og måske virker plastikdækslerne over kameraets ind/udgange lidt for billigt. I denne prisklasse havde jeg måske forventet en lidt mere luksuriøs udførelse og en integreret vertikaludløser.
Nederst i billedgalleriet er optagelser med EF 50/2.5 ved 1600 iso med tilhørende udsnit ved 100% i TIF. Støjniveauet er særdeles acceptabelt, meget flottere end nogen film, og klart bedre end EOS 1D Mk II og 1Ds Mk II.
EOS 5D images. Shot with the EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM and EF 50/1.8 all of the animal pictures are hand held with the 100-400mm at considerably slower shutter speeds than I would normally attempt with this focal lenght so the image stabilizer is very effective. There´s nothing really negative to be said about this very nice reflex camera, except perhaps the fairly noisy shutter/mirror mechanism, and perhaps the cheap plastic covers over the IO´s. At this price range, perhaps I would have expected a somewhat more luxurious finish and an integrated vertical release button. At the bottom of the image gallery are EF 50/2.5, 1600 iso shots with corresponding TIF crops at 100% The noise level is very acceptable, much better than any film and clearly better than e.g. EOS 1D Mk II and 1Ds Mk II. |

Bar Harbor Maine (August 2005)| Bob and I, along with Sharon and HOmer, spent Fri-Mon at Mt. Desert Island and visited the Sea Wall, Bar Harbor, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Cadillac mountain at dawn and there were also ample photo ops right at the campgrounds. |
