 | 1066.Kings Park Festival 2008Wildflowers of Western Australia, including Everlastings, Kangaroo Paw, Boronia, Sturt's Desert Pea, Wattle, Featherflower, Qualup Bell, Eremophila, Geraldton Wax, Verticordia, Grevillea, Hakea, and many other species, make a colourful display at the 2008 Kings Park Festival. Of special interest is the 750 year-old Giant Boab (Adansonia gregorii) which was recently transported over 3,200 kms from the Kimberley Region as a gift from the Indigenous Gija people to the people of Western Australia. 'Gija Jumulu' is a majestic tree which will hopefully adjust to its new location and live for many more years. | |

 | 1077.BEACH & SUNSETS - HUNTINGTON BEACH, CAA friend who is moving to North Carolina asked for a collection of my beach and sunset photos so he could have a reminder of the Huntington Beach, CA area.
This group of photos seem to capture some of the many moods of the beach, from varying weather to clear and cloudy skies, sunny days, and the fading light of day's end.
All of these photos feature the beaches and wetlands of Huntington Beach, and may be saved for private use. If used in any publication, credit "Photo by B.B.Yarborough."

 | 1080.NannupTravel south through the Western Australian countryside to the small country town of Nannup where the streets come alive with colourful Tulips and Daffodils in August. Walk the streets to view the flowers, historic buildings, learn about the 'Nannup Tiger' and the Flood of 1982 when the Blackwood River peaked at a 125 ARI. On the way, enjoy the scenic views of the Leschenault Inlet at Australind and visit the Old Cheese Factory at Balingup on the return journey. | |
