 | 2916.Conference Sponsors
The DJJ Group would like to thank the following people for their support and participation in our fundraisers to host our first conference and to produce a splendid looking program.
Without the support of the people bidding, winning, donating, advertising and providing moral support, the conference would not have been possible. We thank you for this and will never forget.
Raising money to fund a conference was something group members suggested so that our first and possibly only conference would be the best it could be. The conference itself was suggested by group members too as a way to have a get together to meet and see the jewelry. Booking an event with a hotel is expensive and someone or some organization has to be responsible for the cost. We do not have a business nor do we collect dues/fees from our members. Therefore, we had to figure out a way for this to happen. Question, if you were asked to put up your credit card to guarantee the payment of an event or present a cashier's check for the estimated cost of food and facilities out of your own pocket, would you do this for people you didn't know?
If the expenses exceeded the amount collected, would you authorize the excess to be placed on your credit card?
If you look at this list, there are over 100 names of people who contributed to the success of our conference. Twenty-five percent of our group contributed to this effort. In today's society of "what's in it for me", that is an incredible show of support.
Additionally, businesses supported our efforts by placing ads in our self-funded program. An accomplishment in itself as this was all done with nothing but word of mouth and lots of faith!
Kind Regards,
DEJ | |
