1928 Jewelry Company The 1928 Jewelry Company started producing jewelry in 1968 to present. They also produce a line that is marked 2028. Because the jewelry that they produce is based off vintage designs in a lot of cases it is important to recognize the texture that they use. I have read that this was intentional so that their pieces would not be mistaken for older pieces and I have read that it was a matter of economics. It is less expensive to produce a textured backed piece as a solid backed piece. For whatever reason the texture they use is distinctive but can look different based on the shape of the piece.
A special thank you goes out to Somerville33 for providing so many examples of this companies work.

Uptown Bar—Broadzilla & Panty Huffers (11 December 2004)SNAPSHOTS—That is, no post-processing has been done on these yet. I may get motivated to clean up some of the better ones at some point but rather than waiting for that I reckon I'll get them up here for people to see. These were the two (out of four) bands who captured my photographic attention, as well as some non-band people who were there. I am distressed by how many of these images are out of focus. Oddly enough, most of the out-of-focus images are the unique ones I most wanted (and which are well-composed and look reasonably nice … other than being out of focus of course). I wonder if I had some psychological thing going against myself that night. Ah well, I I guess I just need to get back into practice in dim surroundings. In any case, here they are. Please leave a comment if there happens to be one you particularly like. Thanks!
