 | 67.GuinnessWhen we committed to pull Guinness from the shelter, we knew he was mostly or completely blind, but we didn't realize until after we got him that he is also profoundly hearing impaired. He can detect loud clapping and hear a loud high pitched squeak, but can't tell where the sound is coming from. But he seems very resilient and is curious, so he is learning his new environment. We are hoping that his ophthalmology visit will determine that they can remove cataracts and restore some sight. In the meantime we are working out a communication system with foot stomping. | |
