Rat Race's Chance of a Lifetime Chance is from my 2012 litter. While I didn't really plan on keeping a pup, I didn't work really hard finding a new home for him either! He's a great boy, smart, friendly, affectionate and definitely a hunter. My husband has seen him chase down prairie dogs and catch them, and he's not afraid of tackling a coyote. At night, you can frequently see him cuddling up with my husband on the couch. He loves to take rides on the four-wheeler, going with my husband out in the field while he irrigates, or jumping in the truck, ready for a ride.
He is a long, lean running machine. When he was a pup, he used to whine with frustration when he couldn't keep up with Tucker, my English Shepherd. Now he easily keeps up with him and passes him.
He is PLL clear by parentage, stands 17 1/2" tall and weighs in aroun 18 lbs. I look for him to fill out more as he matures, but currently, he's all leg.
His bloodlines on his sire's side include Maxwell, CalVal, RPK, Sands and a Seegmiller dog. On his dam's side, EmmaLee, he carries Decker and Fire Mountain lines, as well as the bird hunting line brought in by Dereth Wylie of Bear Tuff Rat Terriers. |

Rat Race Sammie Sammie was not originally going to stay here at the ranch, but her intelligence and personality stole our hearts, so here she will remain. As the smallest of the 2013 litter, I don't expect her to be very big, maybe 14" - 15". She is a bit smaller boned than the other pups, but what she has in temperament more than makes up for her lack of size.
She is my little houdini pup, escaping from the make-shift puppy pen easily, while her other siblings seemed to be content enough to remain behind. Many times she was out within five minutes of being placed in the pen. I admire her tenacity and her intelligence to be able to figure out how to get out of the pen. This temperament will be perfect for the work that I plan for her. It is my ambition to train her in Search & Rescue work and nose work to show that this breed would be excellent in law enforcement and SAR.
While affectionate, she's not a 'clingy' pup, and is perfectly happy to either snuggle or go off by herself to explore or sleep. She is a bit on the more independent side, but I like the way she thinks and her boldness in attitude.
While I tentatively plan on breeding her, it will not be until at least 2015 when I have had a chance to see how she matures, how well she does with her training, and have been able to locate a suitable mate.
She is PLL clear by parentage. |

Bear Tuff's Miss EmmaLee Em is pretty much my foundation bitch. I purchased her from Bear Tuff Rat Terriers as a six month old pup in 2008 to help control the prairie dog metropolis in our back fields. She is my first Rattie and is quite the girl. She is very loyal, loves to cuddle under the covers with me in the winter, isn't afraid to tackle coyotes by herself, loves to hunt mice and ground squirrels and go for rides on the four-wheeler or in the truck. While I had considered breeding her, local males are not readily available, and I wasn't too concerned if I bred her or not. As luck would have it, my local vet was given a young male pup, and she has since been bred to him. She has blessed me with two beautiful litters and we have kept two pups, one from each litter.
EmmaLee goes back to Decker and Fire Mountain dogs on her sire's side and a newly introduced bird hunting line on her dam's. Through her sire, Brownking BearTuff Tank, she goes back to Fire Mountain's Decker Duke and Fire Mountain's Decker Stella. She stands at 16" and weighs around 20 lbs. She is PLL clear. |

They Call the Wind Mariah... Wind is a constant on the plains of Colorado. Harnessing the wind for energy isn't a new concept. The Mariah Project produces electricity using windmills. Modern windmills only vaguely resemble the windmills seen on old farms, but the concept is the same. |

Titan x Ava We are very excited to have a very special litter due the first week in August. We bred our girl Clan Clark's Ava to Decker's Estrada's Titan. This is a linebred litter, boldy bred exactly like Ellis Decker's Bluegrass Taz Decker, who himself, was from a niece to uncle litter. And the Decker's excellent litter of Taz x Peaches are the subject of this linebreeding. I expect to see 30-40 pound typey Deckers, the best natural hunter's, extremely smart, loyal and loving. With the beauty from Clan Clark lines, we could get tri-color, calico and apricot tuxedos, and piebalds and blanketbacks. The pups should be versatle, outstanding additions to Decker breeding programs wanting to add the very best hunt and beauty to their bloodlines. See more about the parents in the photo albums. First pick male and female on breeder hold. Reserve a pup from this one-time breeding, by deposit and calling 951-797-0614 or by emailing: jspagetti@hotmail.com or facebook: Jacaranda Decker Terriers / Susan Slater-Hancock.
SIRE: Titan is a big, beautiful son from Ellis Decker's last litter, from his excellent hunting pair Bluegrass Taz Decker and Decker's Giant Peach. At two years old, Titan has made a name for himself hunting deer and wild hogs with co-owners Raul Estrada and professional hog hunter, Dean Dickison of Amazing Kennels of Salinas, CA. Titan is a beautiful, powerful Decker, the sweetest dog you'd ever want to meet. His conformation is very nice, and correct, he's rock hard with muscle about 19 1/2- 20 inches tall and 45 lbs. Titan is a slick-coated bright calico. He is a docked long-tail. This is his only outside bred litter.
DAM: Clan Clark's Ava is a young well made Decker, a beautiful, muscular athlete that is determined, agile and focused. She thinks her way to accomplishing a task where all others quit trying. You will see in her photos how she climbs a tree to get to a squirrel and figures out how to squirt a hose up into the air on her own, so she can jump up and bite that water stream without a human participating. She is very friendly, and loyal, great off-leash, ignoring livestock, pet cats, chickens, yet a driven hunter with prey. She is by Decker's Shamus ( Taz x Peaches) out of Clan Clark's Peigi. Ava is 17 inches and 30 lbs. She is PLL clear by parents.
