1379.THE WEDGE - MAY 22, 2010My son Cris and I shot these images at The Wedge in Newport Beach on May 18 and later when the surf was really big, on May 22, 2010.
The first 9 images were shot May 22, and the last 5 frames of those show a disabled boat coming in and being slammed to ground on the beach, followed by rescue of the three occupants and the boat.
The last 13 images were shot May 18, primarily of two surfers using skimmer boards. They throw the board out on the shallow water ahead of them, jump on an ride down the beach, parallel to wave line.
