Planned Litters - 2014 (10/28/2012)| These are a few of the litters we have planned...it will depend on girls heat cycles and our show schedule if/when we make these crosses but for now...these are our plans...Breeder reserves the right to take Pick of Litter puppy(male or female or both)...Deposits are collected after litters are on the ground...must be received by breeder no later than one week after pups are born...and non-refundable after breeder receives deposit. Puppy picks are made after structural and temperament evalutions are made at approximately 8 weeks of age. Ever since these two have been very young, we've visioned this cross. They are such a great match in every way. We expect the offspring to weigh on average around 20-23 lbs. and be about 15-1/2-16 inches tall. The prey drive, intelligence, conformation and overall temperament will be excellent. These are two magnificent examples of the Rat Terrier breed.

Westminster 2014 | RaganRat was proud to be part of the 2014 inaugural Westminster dog show allowing Rat Terriers to participate. The breed was recognized as full AKC status in June 2013. One of our dogs, AKC GRAND CHAMPION UAGI URO2 GRCH RaganRat's Quintessential Q CM RN NA NAJ, aka Q, was a top 5 AKC dog invited to compete at Westminster. Another dog we own, Ratituee Grand Slam I Am, aka Dinger, was allowed to participate per AKC/WKC rules of having won a major toward his Champion title. It was my goal to complete Dinger's Champion title at Westminster and we did! |

Surprise Litter - Sammie and Chance Sammie wasn't listening when I told her she had to wait until she was an adult and all grown up to have a litter of pups. She had other ideas. But what should I expect from a houdinin girl? Sammie gave birth to 4 pups on January 29th, 2014. The sire is her full brother Chance. He is now neutered. Due to the special nature of this litter, I will be holding these pups until they are 10-12 weeks old and having a solid health test done before they go to their new homes. I do not anticipate any health issues, but want to make sure they are as healthy as I can have them before joining their new families.
She had two chocolate tri females and two chocolate piebald males. I expect them to have solid temperaments, be athletic, attuned to their owners, and have a typey build. Both of their parents hunt readily and are affectionate and willing to please. Sammie loves to jump into bed with us, and Chance can frequently be found cuddled up with my husband on the couch. They should mature between 15"-18" and weigh from 20-25 lbs.
