That doesn't stop him from leading a fairly normal life with just a low dose of an nsaid.....Junior is not crooked like a thief- but he might try to steal your heart! | |

| 140.Louis / BennettLouie is a handsome 1 year old Rat Terrier mix puppy that weighs 15 Lbs. He is full of energy and loves to play. He has a great temperament and personality. Louie likes to be wherever his people are so he can get belly rubs and give lots of puppy kisses and snuggles. If you are not giving him the attention he thinks he deserves he will let you know and will give you the kiss of approval when he decides you get there. Louie likes exploring the back yard and enjoys playing with the leaves and twigs and will bring a trophy from the yard to the house from time to time. Louie is fond of toys especially the squeaky kind. He lives with other dogs and cats in his foster home and has no problems living with other animals, he also does well with the children ages 8, 9 and 12 in his foster home. Louie is doing well with potty training but is still in training. He walks well on a leash but prefers a fenced in yard where he can run and play. Louie is currently being crate trained at night, but he prefers snuggling in the bed next to his people. We suggest obedience classes to further his social skills. Louie will be a great companion for any home. If you are looking for a great all around fun dog with high energy…..Louie is your man! | |

| 141.AbbyPrincess Abby came to us on June 13, 2024, by airplane from Georgia. We have been absolutely charmed by this precious young female dog. She is a short legged, short-coated mix of predominantly Rat Terrier and chihuahua.
Although timid when she first arrived, Abby has blossomed into an “in charge” and friendly little character.

| 142.FaginMeet Fagin! Born May 17,2024, This little guy and his brother were born in rescue to a mama we did not realize came in expecting, Lacey. We call them the Surprise Litter. Fagin and his brother (Dodger) are adorable little silver grey tri colored rat terrier mix pups. They will be ready to find their forever homes after August 20th.

Darice Ragan lives near the Great Smoky Mountains of Tennessee and raises Rat Terriers. She places extreme importance on correct structure, breed type, good temperament and health.
Rat Terriers have been part of Darice's family since the 1940's. Darice's dogs have appeared in magazine articles such as Dog Fancy, The Canine Chronicle, the 2006 Rat Terrier breed mega-magazine and Showsight’s 2021 Rat Terrier Digital Magazine. Her dogs were also written about in The New York Times, The Knoxville News Sentinel and The Daily Times newspapers. One of Darice's Rat Terriers has appeared numerous times in Brown Troutt Calendars and made the calendar cover twice. One of her American Hairless Terriers was on the cover of Bloodlines magazine. Another RaganRatter is on the package of a PetSafe dog product. Darice has been active in the dog show world since the age of sixteen. She’s written a How-To book on docking tails.
Darice has been breeding Rat Terriers for 30 years. Today, even in 2024, many of her bred-by dogs have accomplished many successes. RaganRat boasts two UKC National Best of Breed winners (2015 and 2011); two Altered National Best of Breed winners (2015 and 2012); three Top Ten Best of Breed winners with Top Ten Finalist placements. In 2017, Darice handled her boy, Caesar, to capture the AKC National Owner Handler Finals Best of Breed win. Darice's dogs also excel in performance events and several are Total Dogs in UKC and AKC. RaganRat boasts MACH ranking dogs as #1, #2, #11, #12 and #19 spots for 2020. Six (6) RaganRatters are ranked in AKC FastCat 2020 statistics. A RaganRat is the #1 Rattie in Rally, another is #11. PACH ranks a RaganRat; and four (4) dogs listed in All Time Top Rat Terrier Barn Hunters. “Pierce” boasts ranking as #22 in Sr. Class Big Air of the Worldwide DockDog Rankings!
One of Darice's Dock Divers won the 2015 UKC Premier Total Dog Best in Show. Her dogs have Eukanuba, Royal Canin and Westminster wins. Her dogs have AKC and UKC titles in conformation, agility, rally, dock diving, barn hunt, lure coursing and FastCat racing. RaganRat is extremely proud to have eight (8) Ratties working as certified Service Dogs across the United States and one in Alaska!
