Much Ado About Nothing
3. Much Ado About Nothing  (September 2007)
Beatrice and Benedict

Debuted - DragonCon 2007 -  There are some YouTubes floating around out there, of our little cosplay for the Masquerade.  But again, popular costumes that were recognised wherever we went at D*C!

Beattrice is wearable, but need to add a peplum to the bodice, make the upper sleeve covers, and could do with a new base chemise ...

Stylized Jedi Cloak
5. Stylized Jedi Cloak  (23rd April, 2007)
This is my THREADWORXS signature Jedi Cloak.  It's inspiration is drawn from ObiWan's Hood from ANH combined with a 2 dimensional almost Clone Wars look.  Features are the scooped line for the sleeve bottom and exagerated billow line to the side-seams designed to 'catch' more air & make the sides of the cloak flare out as the wearer walks along.  Stretchknit or ribbed fabrics will lend greater flow to the drape, but looks just as stylish in wool, linen or heavy duty cottons.   "Most Impressive!"

Very flattering!)

Padme's Picnic Dress - SW:EPII
7. Padme's Picnic Dress - SW:EPII  (3rd March, 2007 - in progress)
Another pretty girly-girl dress from the StarWars Galaxy and the first of several eBay-bound costumes for 2007.

Never intended making this myself, but been collecting bits n pieces over the years purely because they fell in my lap.  Thanks to a few more lucky finds and SPOTLIGHT sales I find myself stocked up and ready to put a version of this gorgeous costume thru the THREADWORXS treatment!

JediCouncillor
8. JediCouncillor  (11th February, 2007)
(In Progress)
One of two Original Jedi ideas I'm creating.  This was for my cameo as a member of the Jedi Council, in the final scenes of the upcoming short film 'Spectre Of Darkness'; due for release late 2007.

This Original design was created and constructed in one night, having only recieved word at 7pm that I was required for the scene shooting at midday the following day!  Using what supplies I already had, the concept finally struck me at about ? 11:30pm that night as I trolled dozens and dozens of pics of Jedi from all 6 SW's films.    The eventual inspirations?  For the lines of the style, QuiGon Jin's poncho (worn in Mos Eisley during EPI) and Asajj Ventress from CloneWars as her colour combinations matched the materials I had on hand.  The monochromatic scheme lends well as my character will appear as a translucent blue Holograph anyway.

Currently undoing the halter-top and completing the shoulders as per their original concept; reducing the side flares of the tunic; making an Obi; getting an undershirt/skivvy (Space is cold!)

Moulin Rouge
13. Moulin Rouge  (commenced October 2002)
I'd only jumped into serious costuming 18mths before I devised myself this 'grand plan' to assemble 4 MR costumes as an entry for the big Masquerade at DragonCon2003.  By Feb2003 the shopping & sewing kicked into high gear but several disruptions right before DC resulted in only Green Fairy seeing completion, on Aug 28,  just in time to wear for RougieNight at DC!    But this rather disasterous christening into hardcore costuming brought enormous learning curves (like never underestimate how much TIME each costume takes!!) and I still have fingers-crossed for the makings of as faithfull reproductions of these incredible costumes as I possibly can.  As you'll see, far from daunted, the list of planned costumes continues to grow!!!
