The builder-grade jack and jill bath, that had a tub, toilet and double vanity, is being converted into two smaller full baths, each with 30x60 shower, toilet and vanity. Swinging doors from bedrooms are being replaced with pocket doors. |

Hovercraft Project (3/21/2010)| I built a hovercraft for a school science project. Using a 48" diameter piece of 3/8" plywood, .6 mil plastic sheeting for the skirt and a gas leaf blower for power, the hovercraft successfully carried me down the road on a cushion of air. |

DekDrain System (Summer 2005)| When you decide to build a pool, one thing leads to another. This album chronicles the installation of a DekDrain system (www.dekdrain.com) on the deck over our new sunken patio adjoining the pool deck. This project involved removing the old wooden 2x6 deck boards, modifying the joist layout slightly, laying down the DekDrain material, then laying down new, composite decking. We also moved the stairs from the front of the deck to the side (to open up the patio to the new pool). It was hard work, but well worth it. |

The Pool!! Finally, the Pool!!! (June 17, 2004 Updated 2014)The pool dig started the same day as Ginger went into labor. We considered ourselves complete 15 months later, August 27, 2005. Please review these pictures carefully if you ever consider undertaking such a project!
Update: 2014. A wise man once said a pool is a hole in the ground into which one pours money. That about sums it up! We still enjoy the pool but maintenance is never far out of mind. Check out the latest pics at the end of the album to see why I say that. Cheers |
