How to download photos from any of my albums: Browse the photos until you find one you want. Click on that photo and it will open to a larger photo. In the blue-shaded box beneath the larger photo you will see the words “Other sizes”. Choose ORIGINAL size & click on it. It may take a few seconds to load depending on your internet. You will now see a very large photo, probably bigger than your screen. There are slide bars to move around the photo. You can choose smaller sizes, but first let’s save this ORIGINAL size. So, right click anywhere on that ORIGINAL size photo. You should see some computer choices to make. One of them should say something like “Save Picture As…..”. Click on that choice. It will then allow you to save this hi-resolution photo to wherever you save such things on your computer. This will be a relatively large file of 3-5000+ kb size. Do not save the smaller sizes for print because they’ll have less resolution, better known as “clarity”. You can copy this file to a flash drive, or burn to a cd, or email (assuming your email allows large size files) and take the file to a photo store, or send away to one of the on-line photo printers. If you would like to open & save one of the smaller size photos, that would be fine also, but use the ORIGINAL for reproductions and printing. You may want to crop the photo to get the print area you desire. You can do that on your computer or wherever you have files printed. There is no cost for downloading photos, but you will have to pay someone to have prints made wherever. Event photos will remain permanently in the photo album. You can link any one photo or the entire album & send it to family members, friends, or acquaintances. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at: ronlukow@comcast.net

| 7.Plow Day - Peotone, ILAnnual plow day held @ Ginder Farm near Peotone IL Wheat stubble. Excellent plow conditions. Around 25 tractors total. The Ginder Family has hosted this event for many years. The Peotone FFA provides refreshments & sells t-shirts as a fund raiser for the FFA. It was hot though! Probably 95+. Doesn't matter...if it's a plow day, you gotta' go! | |

With the help of some long-time Chebanse residents, I am putting the most accurate descriptions we can under the photos. If you have additional informations or questions, please email me. We can change the descriptions if/when necessary. You may also add "Photo Comments" by clicking on the Comments box. Note that in many of the photos there are poles & overhead lines. Those are telephone lines, not electric. Electricity was not in Chebanse until much later. Also note all the streets are dirt. Horses did not need nor desire pavement. Thanks!

| 185.JD 2510H modificationsWe have a 23 unit JD 2510H applicator. In it's factory configuration, it has 2 adjustable down pressure controls, one for the left half of the machine, one for the right half. However, since we follow the tractor/planter tracks of a 24r planter, we find the center section needed a little more down pressure in some soil conditions to compensate for the deeper planter wheel tracks. However, doing that also increased pressure on the remaining wing units which often ran in non-tracked soil & created too much down pressure. So after looking at the cylinder & control valve arrangement for a few minutes, we decided that it would be easy to tie the 2 center cylinders together & separate them from the remainder of the openers. The wing unit openers then all became controlled by the remaining control valves. The only parts needed/used were 4 hoses approx. 36" long, 2 JIC tees, & 2 JIC caps, & some tye wraps. The machine could probably be restored to factory configuration in 10 minutes if desired. Nothing was removed. | |

How to download photos from this album:
Browse the photos until you find one you want.
There is no cost for downloading photos, but you will have to pay to have prints made wherever.
Event photos will remain permanently in the photo album. You can link any one photo or the entire album & send it to family members, friends, or acquaintances. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at: ronlukow@comcast.net
