Telstra Awards 2003 (23rd August, 2003)..didnt attend the Ball this year but from all accounts a fun night was had by all! Just a few pics of my contribution to costumes ... this year 3 guys needed tear-away pants like male strippers used... only two performed... but the 'riiiiip' worked a treat! ;) _ |

Lauren's Fancy Dress Ball (19th September, 2002)For decades and decades, an annual Fancy Dress Ball has been tradition for most Primary Schools in small town country AU. (my older cousins were taking me to theirs a couple of years before I even started school, so guess where my love of costuming got its roots!) My 11yr old cousin Lauren finishes Grade 7 this year, 2002 would be her last FDB. As I'd visited for her sister's Debutante Ball, I would go home to make Lauren her costume & attend her Ball as a birthday present. And so we made her over into a faerie => with attitude!!! - |

Telstra OnAir Awards (10th August, 2002)| Featuring the Kylie Minogue 'Cant Get You Outta My Head' jumpsuit and other various costume pieces - for a dance medley performed by Team Supervisors at their annual awards night. Everything was constructed (including having to restart the white suit from scratch after the first fitting) in the four days preceeding the Event. The white pantsuit drew an incredible response - I've never seen ANYTHING I've done in all my life, extract such an explosion of reactions... quite a sparkling moment I'll never forget. . |
