1970's John Madden Oakland Raiders
This Album chronicles my favorite team (in any sport) of all time--John Madden's crew of renegades and misfits--the 1970's Oakland Raiders.  Madden joined the team in 1967 as linebackers coach and his great run began with an appearance in Super Bowl II against the mighty Packers. Madden was promoted to Head Coach in 1969,and with Daryle Lamonica bombing opposing secondaries into oblivion, and later Ken "the Snake" Stabler's lethal accuracy flaying them alive (with "King of the World" George Blanda subbing for both when needed), the Raiders would win 103 games over the next 10 years. The Raiders would win their division 7 times and advance to the AFL/AFC Championshp Game 6 times. In 1976 Madden would guide the team to their first Super Bowl Championship with a win over the Vikings. Madden would retire following the 1978 season with the 2nd highest winning pct. in NFL History.
