In October of 2018 I purchased my first miniatures. Two mares, Shalinas Impressive Patches,(Gracie} and Alliance in Fine Form {Ally}, one in foal. The beautiful little colt,Hopkins Eagle On The Fly [Eagle}was born April 24th of 2019 is a real charmer and may be a foundation for Quilted Meadows Miniatures. All are registered both AMHA and AMHR. I am now in a new learning experience and so far it has been plain fun.More fun after finding Colleen McGuigan who like me wants to show the Miniatures. One broodmare,Gracie is turning into an exceptional driving mare
This album will show you my 3 miniature horses with 1 in foal. Gracie,Alie, and Little Eagle.Miniature horses are defined by their small height usually between 34-38" measured at the last hairs of their mane. They have various colors and coat patterns.
They are usually bred to be friendly and interact with people.They are also trained for driving and other competitive horse show events, and some for service animals.
A miniature horse should be small,sound and a well balanced horse and should give the impression of strength,agility and alertness,
Average life span is 25-35 years old!
Colleen has been working with Gracie with great Progress, she was hooked up to carriage today and is doing very well. See new pics today 10/4/19.
She also has been working with little Eagle getting him ready for the show circuit.
