Terracotta Army (May, 2013)The Terracotta Army or the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, are near life sized depictions of the armies of Qin Shi Huang, first Emperor of China. It is near Xi'an, Shaanxi province. The three pits contain approximately 8,000 soldiers, 130 chariots with 520 horses, and 150 cavalry horses. Many are still buried in the pits near by Qin Shi Huang's mausoleum. |
