Joy Unspeakable - Eight Weeks (January 10, 2010)Eight Weeks has just flown by. These babies have brought such Joy into my life and will continue to bring Joy into the lives of their new families.
They spent a lot of time this week outside playing in the grass, dirt, and mud. They bravely ran up and down the steps and played until they collapsed. Lots of visitors came by to admire and love on them. The change in the pups personalities from 7 to 8 weeks was huge. Their playtime is much rougher and I hear more growls when someone gets out of line. It is almost impossible to contain them once they are out of their play area. They can now run much faster than I. I've given up trying to keep up and am content to sit and enjoy the fun and frolicking.

Joy Unspeakable "Playtime" (December 3, 2009)Come on in and enjoy with us the playtime pictures of these sweet babies. We will add pictures weekly of their new adventures and new obsticals.
These pictures start from when they were moved to their Play Area at two and a half weeks and will end when they depart to their forever homes.
We will put the newest pictures first each time we up load them.

Joy Unspeakable - Seven Weeks (January 3, 2010)Happy New Year from the Joy Unspeakable Litter
I can hardly believe seven weeks has passed. The pups will be going to their new homes shortly. I have fallen madly for each and every one and will miss them terribly. The pups have been playing with the big dogs much more and I do believe they will miss them as well. They have so much fun playing together.
This week included more traveling, crate training, and outside time. The pups have all had their first vaccinations and passed their Health Exam with flying colors. The Vet's exact words were "These are some Very Healthy Pups". It was so cute to see the pups giving kisses to my Vet. He had a big smile on his face. I am certain this is part of his job he enjoys greatly.
They have begun wearing collars for a period of time each day. This involves a great deal of scratching to try and remove them followed by playtime as they forget about the collars. Each morning they greet me with tails wagging and enthusiastic noises requesting I let them out in the big room to play. Occassionally they will discover they have a voice and will let out the cutest bark you ever heard. All are wildly entertaining. This week they were not so cooperative with their nail trim. I believe it is time to move from clippers to the Dremel. Apparently they have decided this is not nearly as fun as chasing each other and playing tug.

Joy Unspeakable - Six Weeks (December 28, 2009)We are such big dogs now.
The Joy Unspeakable litter had a very big week. They experienced their first Christmas which involved driving two and a half hours each way and being crated. They all just took it in stride and never complained or made a peep. They were socialized and loved on for days on end.
The pups have now been wormed three times, 2, 4, and 6 Weeks. They have experienced many nail trims. They are playing, barking, growling, and almost completely weaned. Kindle does jump in to give them a snack from time to time but for a very short amount of time. She plays with the pups and puts them in their place when they get too rough. This week the Vet will give them there first vaccination and perform a health check. In addition, I will begin to introduce them to crate training on an individual basis. Also this week we will have some more time outside to play, weather permitting.
All these pups have very sweet personalities and seem to be quite brave when it comes to new adventures. Please enjoy them.

Joy Unspeakable - Five Weeks (December 19, 2009)These Joyous Babies are Fun, Fun, Fun!
The puppies are really getting into playing and roughhousing with each other. Occassionally they will yelp when one of them has bitten the other too hard.
This is is a very critical part of their growing up and how the puppies learn bite inhibition.
They've gotten a few outings outside of their playpen and into the living room where they were able to meet, interact with, and terrorize the adult dogs.
These babies love the big dogs and wag their tails madly when they see them. We are still waiting for a sunny day to get some outside time. We've had the usual stuff this week - nail trimmings, sound socialization, and many visitors to love on us. New this week was eating real puppy food; however, they definately still enjoy Mom's milk.
This week we will be introducing the pups to wearing a collar. Also, I will be put a crate into the play area for them to explore in preparation for their upcoming crate training. They will go for a car ride this week and spend X-mas with the family. They will see many new things this week and new places.

Joy Unspeakable - Four Weeks (December 12, 2009)Look how much we have grown
These babies are just the sweetest. This week they really took advantage of their large play area. New toys were added including a stepping stool to climb on, a tunnel to walk through, and a mobile to reach for. When listening to their sound socialization CD, everyone would stop what they were doing to listen and then quickly return to playing. They have all gotten their teeth and are showing Kindle by biting her. Mom has become a big chew toy. They were wormed a second time as well as more nail trimming.
They have had many visitors again this week and are enjoying them all. This week they also interacted more with the big dogs. Their personalities are starting to emerge. They have really gotten into playing and tackling their brothers and sister. Please be sure to check out the playtime album where I update photos frequently. These pups are a hoot.
Next week, weather permitting, they will venture outdoors to explore. As well weaning begins. This for sure will shortly be followed by the puppies first bath. Additionally, we will start introducing them to different textures (Wood, Stone, Grass, Etc)

Joy Unspeakable - Three Weeks (December 5, 2009)
Puppies moved into their Play Area this week. These beauties are changing daily. They have begun playing with each other and Mom. They are now making dog noises such as growling and an occassional bark. One of their visitors was scratching their backs and they were moaning in delight. This week they have begun potty training. Their ears are open now and they are listening to radio, their Sound Socialization CD, and next week the Narnia stories. They continue to have many new visitors. We are stepping up their nail trim from every week to twice a week. They are all much more relaxed now when getting their nails trimmed.
During the next week they will venture out more to explore their Puppy Play Area and the toys contained in it. As they do so, I will be adding items with different textures for them to interact with as well as changing things around to keep life interesting.
All puppies are on breeder hold at this time.

Two and Half Week Puppy Socialization (December 2, 2009)I had to work out of town today and my dear friend, Renee, came over with her two daughters, Kendall (8) and Caroline (6), to watch the puppies for me. They played with the puppies all day and never grew tired of the task. Their Mother said they tried to figure out a way to smuggle one of the puppies home but quickly decided they would probably go to jail. They didn't like that idea so much.
I can't think of anything more joyful than children and puppies together. Please enjoy the photos of these beautiful girls with the Joy Unspeakable Litter. Even the adult dogs got to get into the action and were loved on as well.

Joy Unspeakable - Two Weeks (November 28, 2009)These babies have changed so much in the past week. They have all grown to 2-3 times their original weights. Most have their eyes open and each have been standing up and testing their legs. They had their second nail trimming. It was a big spa day where all the dogs, including adults, had their nails done. The puppies will receive their first worming today.
I am delighted beyond words with the quality of these pups. They are an absolute Joy.
Next week we will be playing our Sound Socialization CD for the pups to introduce them to all sorts of noises from the world. Now that the pups can see and are past the critical first 2 weeks, we will begin having more visitors to socialize with the pups. By next week, we should have the puppy playpen set up and the pups moved from their whelping box to a larger area to play and experience life.

Joy Unspeakable - One Week (November 21, 2009)A week has passed and these babies are growing like weeds. Each had their first nail trim this week. All the puppies are strong and healthy with fat belly's to prove it. Nose colors are starting to fill in. We are starting to see some personalities emerge.
They have had many visitors this week and Kindle greeted everyone happily and even let us hold her babies. Of course, she was sure everyone came to see her.
This upcoming week will be huge as their ears and eyes will open up. We will begin introducing the pups to all sorts of noises. We are extremely pleased with these babies and feel truly blessed.
All puppies are on breeder hold at this time.

Joy Unspeakable - Three Days (November 16, 2009)These babies are growing like weeds. Today was a big day. They got to meet the Vet, had their dew claws removed, their tails docked, and participated in a photo shoot. They are resting peacefully now after all the excitement.
Every puppy is gaining weight daily. Mom is healthy and taking marvelous care of her babies. We are starting to see some personalities appear in these little ones. Later in the week they will get their first pedicure.

Newborn (November 14, 2009)Kindle started to show signs of labor on Friday night. I had just gotten an X-ray that afternoon so I knew there were 4 babies. I could see on the X-ray one was already in position and ready to come out.
She gave birth to 3 beautiful girls and 1 extemely handsome boy.
