Trench from the laundry wall. This is where the water and electric comes from and goes to the new island.  it is run right under the wall and under the frig into the kitchen

Bobby and Johnny pulling electric wires to the island

This is the wall on the garage side.  Had to be cut away to access and flip all the connections (water, drain and electric) from the laundry room.
The silver/metal tube is the dryer vent pipe that was plugged.  Better to run that vent out side through the garage wall in the future.  But, in the mean tme it will be ready to connect your new dryer.  There is a gas connectin if you choose to go with a gas dryer.

All these trenches had to be cut with a rented concrete saw and then jackhammered out and dug out for all the electric conduit and water pipes.

Pea gravel over the connection to your 3" sewer pipe.  The drain from the island ties in here.

Your contractor, Nice guy, works cheap.

Gotta be smooth!

you can see the cut that was made to run your drain pipe from island sink to sewer pipe by the fireplace.  Needed Roto Rooter to help us find this pipe under the floor.

Connections for island. Yellow is the new Electric run for your warming draw and microwave.  Copper is hot & cold to the island sink.  black is your sink drain.  Other electric (grey wire)was existing from the original island - will connect for some plugs above your counter.

After the floors go in, no one will ever know this all happened.  It will look like a normal house again.

The extra big hole here is from our "search" for the sewer pipe.  We weren't even close!  Had to call for help!

Yes, that was a lot of concrete slab to saw through.

Lily & Dodger found a big fat gopher in Uncle Rich's lawn.

Steve helped with the garden hose in one hole, while Lily waited at another hole.

Dodger gets credit for "the kill".  When this guy stuck his head up for air, Dodger made quick work of him.
