They've arrived and boy are they beauties! This litter arrived in the early morning hours on March 14, 2011. Josie really outdid herself this time. She had 7 black tris (some will calico out) and 3 apricots. They are BEAUTIFUL!! These puppies should reach 25-30 pounds as adults and be 16-17 inches tall at the shoulder. They will be big, beautiful rat terriers.
I am yet to meet two cooler dogs than Josie and Roscoe.Both are excellent hunters and spectacular companions. I can't wait to see what they produce. I expect puppies to be between 25 and 30 lbs and 16-17 inches tall at the shoulder.
Josie is my most treasured dog. She is my best friend, my hunting partner, and my kids' favorite toy. She is a black, white, and calico beauty and has a wonderful personality. She is loving and playful and has amazing hunting abilities. She has led in clearing the ranch of rats, squirrels, and rabbits. I have even seen her kill a snake. She goes with me everywhere, but also loves nothing more than to cuddle up next to the fireplace. She fetches, gives high fives, dances, and watches the gate when I feed my chickens.
John, Roscoe’s owner, has had him since he was a small puppy. John enjoys taking Roscoe hunting for many different types of animals, from geese to deer. Roscoe is very handsome. He is black, white, and tan and is full of personality. He comes from phenomenal hunting bloodlines, used to hunt pigs and other wild game. He is sweet and loyal. Roscoe has the best of both worlds. He and John live in the San Francisco area and enjoy vacationing in Adel, Oregon where he gets to do most of his hunting.

Baxter/Remi Litter- March 2011 (March 13, 2011)All puppies in this litter have been reserved. We plan to make this cross again in the future. This is an amazing litter. All of the puppies are at their forever homes and we are proud to say that they are more than happy with their new additions.
We've GOT COLOR and lots of it! The puppies arrived the morning of March 13, 2011. We've got a pearl, chocolate tris, a black tri, and a blue. YAY!!
We are extremely excited for Skippin CJ Remi's first litter. She was bred to Rosethorn Baxter Almighty in January of 2011. Both parents weigh 15 pounds and are 15 inches tall at the shoulder and they make quite a pair.
Baxter is an all-around wonderful dog. He has perfect confirmation and is a gorgeous chocolate, white, and tan piebald. He has produced some beautiful puppies and we expect this to be the best cross yet. Baxter is sweet and obedient. He is extremely athletic and does some amazing tricks. He aims to please and has become a fabulous hunter alongside Nevada Sage Outlaw Josie.
Remi is a beautiful steel blue, with white and tan markings. She has a piebald color pattern. Remi is cuddly and sweet. She loves to snuggle up next to the fire or wrestle with Twiggy. She is a wonderful inside companion, but still likes to go out and ride horses through the brush. Remi is very loyal and is the ideal companion. If her puppies are anything like her, they will be wonderful family dogs!
Both Remi and Baxter are 15 in tall and weigh 15 lbs so it should be safe to say the puppies will be 13-16 lbs and 14-15 inches at the shoulder as adults.
This litter will knock your socks off.

Baxter is an amazing young man. He is a chocolate/white/tan piebald standard rat terrier. He is UKC registered. His sire, Cal Val's Bruce All Mighty, earned the champion title in the show ring. His full brother, Rosethorn Mighty BlackJack, recently won grand champion. He is smart and sweet, with tons of hunting instinct. He and Josie are the head of ranch security bringing in rats and squirrels regularly. He is extremely athletic and loves the kids. He does amazing tricks and is a pleaser. He wants nothing more than to be my right-hand man. We expect great things of his litters.

Josie is my girl. She is the whole package. She is a black/white/calico Decker beauty with Irish markings. She is UKC and UKCI registered and all I could ever ask for in a companion. She never leaves my side. She is a fabulous hunter and the leader of our pack. I have never seen a dog with her hunt drive since her mother, Peachie. She is full of personality and has become just like me. She loves to wrestle and get rough or relax next to the fire or under a shade tree. She was my first rat terrier and she has made a believer out of me. I'm hooked on rat terriers!

Nevada Sage's Twigalicious "Twiggy" is the queen around this joint. She is an apricot and white female. Twiggy has a lot of personality and likes to hunt and frolic through the mud; but at the same time she loves to cuddle and lay by the fire in the house. Twiggy is a very affectionate companion and loves to play with the kids. She enjoys going along when we saddle up and drive cows, generally to hunt for squirrels and rabbits, while following my horse through the sage brush. My mom hires Twiggy on a regular basis to help her declare war on her mice. She is my first rat and thanks to her, I will never own any other kind of dog!
Twiggy and Baxter had beautiful puppies that have made many families wonderful pets and companions. We are in the process of planning her next litter.

Remi came to us from Christina Martinez at Skippin CJ the beginning of June, 2010. She has since become quite the addition to our pack of rats. She is the sweetest dog and she loves to cuddle. Remi has really become a part of the family. She is very loyal, and goes everywhere with her mom Jymme and sister Twiggy! She is happy laying by the fire watching TV or riding horse back through the sagebrush chasing rabbits. She has adapted well to her new environment! Remi is a beautiful dog and has the best personality!!

This is the dog who started it all. Leah got Peaches, Peachie, as a puppy about 9 years ago. Peachie INSTANTLY became in irreplaceable part of the family and an asset on the ranch. She is a vicious hunter and is able to kill many rodents in seconds. She has even accompanied Matt, Leah's husband, when he goes lion hunting and she hunts right with his hounds. She goes with Leah when she rides and helps Matt on their farm outside of Winnemucca, Nevada and even jumps up on the back of Leah's saddle when Leah calls her. Leah's three kids love Peachie to death and she is great with them.
Peaches is the proud mother of Ellie, Josie, and Twiggy and has produced a lot of color in her litters. Her puppies are all very unique but all have her strength as a hunter and wonderful personality. Her puppies are very adabtable and have gone to very diverse homelives and succeeded in them all.
We are very proud of Peaches as she has given us all a love for the breed. Her beauty, strength, loyalty, and hunting ability are all we could ever ask for in a dog and companion. |
