Art Deco Jewelry
3. Art Deco Jewelry
Most people think that the Art Deco period was the 1920's (true) but it actually started around 1910 and went well into the 1930's.  Art Deco jewelry used vivid colors and was often geometrical in style.  One of the major makers of Art Deco filigree, or pierced, jewelry as shown on this page was the JJ White Company of Providence, Rhode Island, the famed costume jewelry center here in the US.  They marked this type of jewelry with an "H" with a triangle above and below it, for Helgen Mfg.  JJ White started in 1898 and lasted until the 1970's.  Jewelry shown here was produced in the 1920's.  Other marks used by JJ White were Crusader and Horoscope; the JJ White logo was a "W" in a triangle.

Emmons Jewelry
4. Emmons Jewelry  (July 12, 2018)
Unfortunately and for unknown reasons the available records for Emmons are hard to find and therefore naming and dating pieces is hit and miss.  Thankfully the record-keeping for sister company Sarah Coventry was much better.  Reference books used are “Emmons Fashion Magic Jewelry” by Dippo & Dippo and “Emmons & Sarah Coventry Jewelry Fashion Show” by Deborah Robinson.  There are two excellent Sarah Coventry/Emmons groups on Facebook and the pages include lots of great information, including an identification page for Emmons.  Personal collection, not for sale.

Juliana Jewelry
5. Juliana Jewelry  (May 2, 2018)
Juliana was made by DeLizza & Elster.  It was never marked and was sold with a paper hangtag or an earring card.  Most of this jewelry has been verified using the following books:  "Juliana Jewelry Reference/DeLizza & Elster Identification & Value Guide" by Ann Pitman and "Juliana Jewelry The Last Generation" by Paula Knutson and Karla Wacker; the Is It Juliana website, the Juliana Study Group on Facebook, and Juliana expert Paula Knutson.  I have recently re-photographed the entire collection and re-verified all pieces (a few were removed as it turned out they were not Juliana) and am 99% certain all pieces are D&E/Juliana.   Personal collection, not for sale.

A page to assist with identifying and dating Sarah Coventry jewelry.  The page is by no means complete and is an ongoing project.  None of the items on this page are for sale, it is for reference only.
