This is union theater. Seats 1500
She will work out a better rate for multiple days. Final costs aren't determined till a meeting is made with Steve Jones who is the Director of Productions. In this discussion with Steve the use of the Apollo name would be discussed as it is a separate license.
Rates vary she said but depending on what is needed could be between 20k-30k day. That estimate also has the union labor in.

Notes: Exterior Plaza rate is 100K per day or night, but there is some play in that number if coupled with an interior component. In a broad sense, pending specifics, filming interior of Avery Fisher or Alice Tully is 28K per 24 hour period. Contact stated no difference for prep vs. shoot but Lauren is not the final say on this I believe. May be play there
Contact said no film has shot Alice Tully since renovation, and to her knowledge no one has shot the tilted lawn component. The sculpture adjacent to the law is a separate clearance and fee. All exterior work inside of their footprint is considered “plaza” and subject to the 100 K fee.
Not available between September 22 and October 13 for NY Film Festival. Some holds in place for October but can be bought out at this point.

Very open to rental. They've approved a new tenant, Red House, which hasn't come together yet to move in. Hypothetical move in date for Red House is April 1st, but they wont pay the city for the first 6 months of the lease until they can generate revenue. Because we are coming with money we can potentially work with the city to push Red House's lease 30-60 days into the future to accommodate our rental.
Joe Minnerly is the primary contact.
Seats a little more than 1000.
Electric is brand new, 1800 amps of service, cam lock 3 phase, almost everything is less than 10 years old from the renovation in 2004. Sound system is owned by Keyspan, may need to facilitate some deal with them and their contractor to use the sound system. |

- NON-UNION THEATRE. They have their own crew of people that work in-house only. Excited about the project. - Entire interior space is designed by Frank Gehry. The only theatre he has ever designed. - Schedule dependent. Late September or October are quite possible for us. - Three theaters (The Diamond, The Griffin, The Linney) of varying sizes. - Both the Diamond (largest) and the Griffin (with balcony) can easily be equipped with a projector and screen. We have a 16’x30’ cinema screen for the Diamond actually (see representative photo), and a smaller 11’x20’ screen for the Griffin. - The lobby/cafe is open to the public with free wifi but it's sort of a hidden gem so it's not incredibly crowded.
