Our son Scott and I decided to hike up to Humpback Rock. A 40 minute rather strenuous hike.

| It was a cool and cloudy day so we drove to the market near Mt.Crawford in the valley. Saw a nice pumpkin display, we bought a small one.

Then we drove about 25 miles to see the hand operated ferry boat across the James River. Visit the website at Jamesriver.com
| It wasn't in operation today but it was interesting to see how people hundreds of years ago got farm good to the train next to the river.
