Buenos Aires, Salta & Iguazu, Argentina Slideshow Our first trip to Argentina. After getting our bearings in Buenos Aires, we headed off to northwestern Argentina to explore the area around Salta.  First to Cachi, Cafayate and Quilmes then up to Purmamarca, Humahuaca and Salinas Grandes (the salt flats).  The landscape is similar to the American southwest but even less populated. We then flew to Iguazu Falls which straddles the border with Brazil.  After spending a few days exploring the falls, we headed back to BA for our final nights in Argentina.
