Lewisville, TX
Dates back to 1861. Moved in 1951 to present location. Seems it would have wound up at the bottom of the Lewisville Lake. Interesting stories about two of the people buried there. Two brothers, George and Jonas, apparently left Illinois because old George was having a relationship with the married cousin of his deceased wife. Jonas had a number of people murdered because they didn't want to fight in the Civil War. There is a memorial for those people in Gainesville, TX. |
