My "Perilous Pirate Pumpkin." At least, that's what it said on the conatainer!
| At the home of my friends Rick and Cindy in Virginia. They always do a great Halloween yard every year!
| More decorations (note the big spiderweb in the right background--you can't see it, but there's a big spider to go with it)
| Rick and Cindy's little girl, Bella, waiting patiently for Halloween.
|
At the home of Becky, a friend of Jeff H.'s and mine, for her annual Halloween blowout. She does it up big every year!
| Jeff in his wizard costume. He made it himself, and his hat talks!
| Another pic of Jeff in his costume--he made the staff as well
| My own costume--Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, complete with ruby slippers
|
More of Becky's great decorations
| Still more decorations...
| And still more decorations...
| Some of Becky's guests enjoying the bubble machine
|
One last decoration. I thought my shadow was an especially nice touch
| I tried to photograph the beautiful after-sunset, but just couldn't catch it
| I liked the way the night vision on my camera distorted the images, so I kept this one
| Everyone getting ready for the feast
|
| | Look who made a surprise appearance--Santa! The children were beside themselves
| Santa visting with a wee guest
|
"You want WHAT for Christmas?"
| At food
| Some more of Becky's beautiful decorations
| |
And Becky makes her grand appearance--it's Glenda the Good Witch from the Wizard of Oz! Jeff made her costume as well
| | Glenda and the wizard
| Glenda and Dorothy. "Are you a good witch, or a bad witch?"
|
"There's no place like home, there's no place like home..."
| Conferring with Santa
| Glenda greets her guests
| |
A magician was there as well to entertain the children.
| Becky even had horses for the children (and adults) to ride, including a miniature horse for the little ones!
| | For Halloween night, I decided to go as a Spartan from the movie "300," complete with over-the-top chest--because, let's face it, that's a large part of what that movie was about. I call it my 3-day, $30.00, 300 costume
|
My friend Megan and I hit the Breakfast Club, an '80's dance club, for their Halloween festivites (Megan was a piraty wench). We got there too late to enter the costume contest, but my costume was a big hit!
| Got a little Captain in ya?
| Megan with an "Immortal," also from "300." He seemed to appreciate my costume!
| SPARTAAAA!!!!!
