Winners of the Monday Evening
Charity Pairs: Christina Siemer
of Lewistown MT, and Ralph Cole
of Anacortes WA. With a posted
score of 51% going into the last
round, Ralph went out to get the
car. But some of the names had
apparently been entered into the
wrong section and they ended up
with the win. We had to go out
into the middle of Douglas Street
like a desparate paparazzo to get
the photograph of Ralph!

The Friday-Saturday Knockout was the event in which Aidan Ballantyne passed the 10,000 masterpoint plateau, making him a Grand Life Master.  Grand Life Master is the ACBL’s highest rank, restricted to players who have won an open championship at an NABC or a world championship.  Aidan won the North American Open Pairs with Gord McOrmond in 1997 and may well have added more titles since.  Congratulations!
