Festivities at LAX for the shuttle landing, we actually got to see it FOUR times!

1 On the street prior to going up on the lawn, good move!
2 Only a 2 hour wait at this point...zzzz
3 By the time the shuttle flew by, this was all standing room only..
4 Shot of the stage hogging half the street, so 20 politicians could have a cush experience...
5 I did handyman work on that large house in the background..(in 1992). Note comfortable lawn, best seats in the house!
6 I missed the North runway flyby, and thought, "nobody gets a picture of the people". That's the mortuary that allowed us to camp out on their lawn. Thanks Douglass Dunaway!
7 Flyover over the South runway. This was a very pleasant surprise! The best moment of the entire day.
Note that in this instance, he wasn't required to observe the 1500 foot elevation. Low and slow! They said 500 feet but it seemed lower..
