A day apart for a regular partnership resulted in two new Life Masters Saturday.    Cynthia Tree, Comox BC and Warren Burd, Campbell River BC (the leftmost two in the foursome above) played with new partners on Saturday: Warren played with Milos Hajsky, Holberg BC in the Open Pairs and they won the under-2000 strat.  Cynthia played with Louise Stevens, Saint George UT in the Gold Rush pairs, and they came within a half-matchpoint of winning the event.  But wait, it gets better!  As a result of this very successful Saturday, Milos (left photo) is now a new Life Master and Bronze Life Master, and Louise (right photo) is now a new Life Master!  Congratulations!

A spot in the semifinals of the Thursday-Friday Knockouts and near win in Flight B and C in the Friday Evening Swiss was enough to make Lyn Jones of Sidney BC a new Silver Life Master (1000 MP): here he is with his team, Linda Ellis - Les Ellis, Vancouver BC; Mary Jones, Sidney BC.  Congratulations!

(My apologies to Lyn Jones for printing that he was a new Life Master, not Silver Life Master...)
