Yogi riding on a Police Motor Cycle he loved showing off at the Demo and everyone to see he could sit on the bike and look cool.
| Anyone that knows me well knows I love to talk. I have also been know at work to yell loud enough at a suspect that they can hear me two blocks away. So I love this picture because everyone would say look your dog talks as loud and as much as you do.
| Hard to see but Yogi indicated to the odor of narcotics in a warehouse and I was working with him to find the exact location.
| Yogi is in what we would call scent and working to the target odor of narcotics during training.
|
Yogi watching the bad guy in training while being back tied. This helps keep up there drive and ability
| Yogi makes contact with a pretend bad guy
| I am about to send Yogi during training to contact a person in the vehicle.
| Yogi Contacts the person in the vehicle and holds him
|
As you can see K9 are not the mean uncontroled dogs everyone makes them out to be. They are just doing a job and are under good control and focus. Yogi sits and watches quietly the bad guy while we discuss the training
| Yogi makes contact with a bad guy during a Demo
| I really like this picture as Yogi is almost 11 years old. This shows that Shepherds can be bred with good joints and work a long productive career. This picture shows he can still jump high and get his job done.

Yogi contacts the decoy during a Demo
| Yogi working on a training track
| As you can see the K9's are able to work scent on everything, dirt, grass, cement, etc. Here Yogi is working scent in training.
| Here is Yogi after he finished that training and was very happy he found what we were looking for and mom told him good boy.
|
As you can tell by his eye's Yogi is getting older but still going strong.
| Yogi at his retirement party and recieving his plaque for a job well done. I was very proud of him and always will be. He was 11 years old here and at 13 now he can still jump in my dodge truck and over a kid gate.
| Yogi and his fellow buddy K-9 Milo retired together. This is the cake of course they did not eat any but everyone else did. This would be the last day we would talk to our beloved friend and fellow Deputy. He would be killed in the line of duty the very next day.
| Yogi enjoying his going away party. By the way whom ever said they love retirement lied. They just want to go back to work. They are work just like us.
|
Here is the table with pictures, newspaper articles and awards Yogi had won.
| Yogi extracting a Decoy out of a vehicle during a public Demo
| Flight for life letting us pose in front of the helicopter with all my kids and Yogi. Was a fun day and Demo. My kids have been to almost all of them and my daughter is now an explorer and wants to be a K-9 Deputy. My oldest son wants to go into the job core, he is also in the Honor Gaurd with me and the offical bugler which is hard to do as it usually comes during sad times. Our youngest is still deciding. Our oldest daughter notin the picture wants to become a C.N.A. or nurse. I think these experiences have helped them to grow up into such great young adults. I am proud of them too.
| Yogi at a demo right when I told him to watch the suspect

How quickly they change from one look to another
| This is one of my faverite photo's in Yogi's Career. This little boy had crawled away from mom when she was not at first looking. He just sat down next to yogi and went from patting him to laying his head on him. I like the picture because is shows that K-9 are not like most people picture. Yogi loved people, school demo's and social hour. Yet when it was time for him to contact a suspect he never failed me.
| Yogi with me this photo was taken for a newspaper article about an award Yogi recieved after he caught a bad guy
