 I am a nervous fellow, worried about new people, new noises, and new situations. Even in a familiar environment I am concerned about hands reaching for me.
|  That is a dilemma because I LOVE pats and scratches. They just have to be offered slowly by people I've learned to trust.
|  Once I know you, I'm not too scared to come up to ask you for some attention.
|
 But fast moving, loud talking, unpredictable people are very concerning.
|  My foster sister Izee helped me start to feel comfortable in my new foster home.
|  She just gave me some space and showed me the ropes.
|
 Before too long we were cautiously playing with each other.
|  Sometimes I instigate play and sometimes she does. Click for a short video.
|  mostly we just hang out.

 I like a vantage point from which I can watch the goings-on around the house.
|  But sometimes being vigilant is too much work, and a guy's just gotta nap.
|  When the weather suddenly got cold I was happy to wear a sweater.
|
 I'll follow you out into the yard to "do my business" pretty promptly when it's time. But please do keep me on a regular potty schedule because I'm not very brave at telling you when I need to go out.
|  I'm alert to household sounds and will bark when someone knocks at the door.

|  I have a foster cousin who is a cat who stays with us sometimes. He reminds me of the cats I used to live with in my former home. I like hanging out with Todd.
|  I'm a GREAT leash walker. You go, I go. You stop, I stop. You hurry, I hurry. Most of the time you won't even notice me on the other end of the leash.

 When I am feeling confident, I will readily come to you for pats. Click for a short video.
|  For some reason, whenever I "smile" at my trusted people (to request their attention and affection), they laugh at me. I don't mean to be funny! I'm just trying to ingratiate myself!
