Falcons visit the Hotel del Coronado. I was told that they are Peregrine, and the falconers who brought them were very friendly and eager to share information. They are not fed and hunt their own food during outings, typically they catch a rodent or something small every two to three days.
The fact that seagulls are afraid of them and leave temporarily is a welcome side effect if not the reason for their visit. |
