The Pain
One of the first things we noticed when we got to the boat in October of 2004 was that the main sail track was pulling away from the deck. Once we made a survey of the deck area we discovered several "soft" spots. These mean "dry rot", on a wood boat this is the dreaded fear. This album is about that recovery. We had to remove the deck hardware, the inside overhead panels and then all the fiberglass insulation. Then the folks that we hired took over to cut out the dry rot and patch up the holes and then refiberglass the deck.
